Abstract Hexagon

Course options include:  Algebra 1 (at the CP2, CP1, or Honors level) and Geometry Honors.

To be recommended for an Honors level math course, the student must have a 93% average or higher in their 8th grade math course and their teacher's recommendation.

NHS does not place 9th graders into Geometry CP1.  That placement would put the student out of sync for MCAS prep and would leave them without a math course for their senior year.

Honors Algebra 1 students who wish to reach AP Calculus by their senior year can double up with Geometry Honors and Algebra 2 Honors in 10th grade.

Placements for 8th grade students going into 9th grade
